Charles Parsons in the branch manager of chartered accountants and business advisory consultants, Hall, Livesey and Brown. He is based in Chester but as the largest independent provider of such services in the North West and Midlands it’s not surprising they have other branches in Tarporley, Shrewsbury and Wrexham. Originally founded in Manchester by Mr Hall, offices now closed, the firm has been in business for 90 years. Today 10 partners and 50 staff provide sound business advice to all walks of people and specialise in tax advice.
Charles was very keen to stress the importance of cleaning up the image of accountants, wanting to provide a fresh and tidy appearance to his clients when they visited. Spick and Span Cleaning Services of Chester were doing it just as he wanted. The offices, toilets and the whole building smelt fresh and ready for business and reflected their own professional approach and Spick and Span Cleaning Services delivered in the same manner.
The building they work out of is on Nicholas Street, built in 1780 by Joseph Turner, the largest example of a single or similar row of buildings in Chester. At the time it was affectionately know as Pill Box Promenade or Pill Box Row due to it housing most of the doctors in town. Still to this day it is impressive to see the row from street level and imagine how it looked back then. It’s as true inside as well. A beautiful cantilevered spiral staircase ascends four floors and from the top most windows impressive views of Chester can be seen especially looking over towards the race course.
Charles left me feeling sure that Spick and Span Cleaning Services were providing what he wanted. Communication is so important these days and when ever there has been a query or minor problem we have responded quickly and professionally.
So from all at Spick and Span we would like to say congratulations Charles and all your staff for 90 successful years, long may it continue.
